Tori graduated from Stanford in 2006 with a degree in International Relations, focusing on Comparative International Political Economies, with a minor in Chinese. She has lived abroad in Europe and Asia, and speaks French, Mandarin, and Spanish. Tori is focusing her Fellowship on fostering individual self-development through improved education and sustainable economic development. She will be concentrating on these tenets in particular as a means of preventing conflict and facilitating local conflict management. She will also be exploring how the rule of law operates to facilitate international conflict resolution and justice in different regions and communities. Over the course of the year, Tori will be teaching in both urban and rural school settings in Northeast China, consulting with the Chief Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, and working with international micro-finance organizations in Eastern Africa.
