Carrie Stefansky - 2008

Carrie graduated magna cum laude from the Elliot School of International Affairs at George Washington University in 2006, concentrating in Conflict & Security Studies and International Politics. She recently returned from nine months living in Uganda and Sierra Leone, where she organized conferences for American and African college students regarding the role of youth in post-conflict reconstruction. Carrie hopes to spend her placements in Liberia and Indonesia during the coming year, researching various mechanisms for engaging youth that mitigate and preempt conflict. While in The Hague, she hopes to design tools to disseminate information to affected communities about the role of the ICC in the peace processes in which they are currently engaged.
